Seeing leave in Google Calendar or Outlook

Officium HR guide · Updated

Every person gets a private calendar link for their own leave. Managers and HR also get a team feed. Subscribe once and it keeps itself up to date.

What the feed shows

  • Events say only “Off” or “Half day off” (with the person’s name on team feeds).
  • Never the type of leave, and sickness is never included.
  • Only approved and booked leave.

Adding it

  1. In Officium HR, open Leave & absence and press Add to my calendar. Copy your link.
  2. Google Calendar: Other calendars → + → From URL, then paste the link.
  3. Outlook: Add calendar → Subscribe from web, then paste the link.

Calendar apps check subscribed calendars every few hours, so a newly approved holiday can take a little while to appear.

Keep your link to yourself: anyone who has it can see the dates you’re off.
