What we stand for

Our commitments

The values behind how we look after our clients, our people and our community.

Fair pay for our people

We know that giving our team a safe, secure and rewarding place to work delivers the best outcomes for our clients. That’s why we’re committed to paying everyone who works for us fairly, with secure and predictable hours. Supporting our people is how we support yours.

Giving back

We believe in giving back wherever we can. We want to make it easy for our directors and staff to support the causes that matter to them through payroll giving, and to back those causes alongside them.

If you know of a great cause we could get involved with, please email our CEO, Dean, at dean@officiumbusinessservices.co.uk.

Looking after the planet

1% for the Planet member

We’re a member of 1% for the Planet. That means we give 1% of our annual sales to approved environmental charities every year, whether or not we make a profit.

We also keep our own footprint down by working digitally and paper-light. Find out more about 1% for the Planet.

Being a responsible business

We aim to treat everyone we deal with — clients, staff, suppliers and our local community — fairly and honestly. That means clear pricing, paying our suppliers on time, and doing what we say we’ll do.

Your data

Protecting your information

We understand that your business data — and the personal data of your employees — is among your most sensitive assets. Payroll, pension and financial information needs the highest level of care, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Our approach to data security includes:

  • A secure client portal for forms and documents, so sensitive information doesn’t travel by ordinary email
  • Encrypted file transfer and encrypted storage
  • Strict access controls so that only authorised people can see your data
  • We never accept bank detail changes by email: any change is confirmed by phone on a number we already hold
  • Regular staff training on data protection and cyber security
  • Compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018

We’re registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration number ZC251471. If you have any questions about how we protect your data, please get in touch.

Our people

Fairness and openness in pay

We set pay by the role, the skills it needs and the responsibility it carries. Men and women doing the same or equivalent work are paid the same, and we review pay regularly to make sure it stays that way.

Only employers with 250 or more staff have to report their gender pay gap, but we believe fairness and openness shouldn’t be reserved for larger organisations. We review pay every year and publish a pay fairness statement here. Once our team is large enough to publish gender pay gap figures without revealing anyone’s individual pay, we’ll publish those too.
